Immediate Goals:
- Coordinate a plan with local hospitals for low income families,
throughout the United States to assist children while hospitalized
for a terminal illness or a major medical procedure.
- Provide a
welcome care package to every child who is admitted for a major medical
procedure upon registration.
- Provide a stuffed Angel upon recovery of the child from a major
medical procedure.
- Continue: To support the Salvation Army women’s shelters during the Christmas holidays give out toys to the children that have relocated to their facilities.
Future Goals:
- Establish Briana’s House near selected hospitals for
families of critically ill children to reside while their children
are hospitalized.
Provide Web based resource for families seeking information that might help them during this time of crisis.
- Create opportunities for children to interact with others who are
terminally ill or have survived a terminally life threatening disease.
- Participate in activities that help families cope with the loss of
a child. Provide
information and resources to families that have terminally ill children or have
lost a loved one.
- Initiate a program to grant an annual scholarship, ($500.00)
as funds allow, to children who have recovered from a major terminal
illness. Scholarships will be in the name of past children with
the permission of the families.
- Travel to the site of terminally ill children we have supported
as they enter their last days whenever necessary, possible and prudent,
to be of support to them as they encounter their terminality and to
be supportive of their families during this difficult time. All
this is based on permission of the families involved.
- Establish an endowment fund to support the on-going mission of Toy’s
From An Angel Foundation, Inc.
- Partner with hospitals, clinics, funding organizations, and local community groups and individuals from across the US to continue the grassroots community nature of Toy’s From An Angel Foundation, Inc programs and activities
